I have them in my eyes and nose, what can I do?

Try washing your eyelashes with no more tears baby shampoo morning and night. If that does not work get a prescription ointment (not drops) for eye infection and follow directions for it.

Many have been helped by using the cat's claw on a Q-tip and swabbing out the outer edge of the inside of the nose. You can do this at night so you won't look strange for work. Cotz SPF 58 inside the nose also has helped folks. The cat's claw is strong and may burn but the Cotz won't so just be cautious and try a small area first.

Can one quarantine clothing and bedding as is done with scabies? If so, how long should the quarantine last?

The clothing infected by the fungus we tried to quarantine for a year and it didn't work. The only thing we found that worked was treating clothes with a Clorox soak, PCO soak, or rubbing alcohol soak. Also, boiling and freezing clothes didn't help either.

I have monitored the dreyer lint from laundry loads run thru hot (125f) water and heavy detergent cycles and dried on high (140f). I observed movment with co2 (breath) appiled. A microbiologist suggested that 170C was required to kill all (the rest?) Right. Autoclave? Next. Try ultra violet light?

JOE H please read my website more thoroughly no amount of heat or detergent works, only 1 hr soak in Clorox and the laundry product I recommend under products works.
Had bought and tried UV light with no results at all. Please see WHAT DID NOT WORK on this site

After 4 years of suffering and research I can honestly say everything you have written falls in line with my condition. I was horrified when I saw the photgraphs as I think I may have caught one. Due to restless legs and arms and the feeling of being punctured I started to take Herbal tablets that promote natural sleep. For over a week I took these and one night I felt an itch on my anus and there is was the same shape as the one in your pictures. I think the tablets slowed them down!!!(UK)

After a hotel stay, I have been suffering for over a month trying to get mites out of my nose, eyes, and ears and everywhere else. I've tried Nix baths over and over, internal mebendazole twice (worked temporarily, sulpher soaps and creams, etc. We've treated our mattresses and encased them in bug barriers. Help!!

Quarantine does not work at all. Only the laundry protocol on my site works. I had a box sealed for a year and was reinfected upon opening it.

In your Oct. 2011 newsletter, you wrote,
"Wash face with Arbonne soap, dry and apply spf 58 Cotz (do not use the spf 30 sunscreen for the face) and leave Cotz on day and night until clear"

Why not use the sunscreen on the face? Is it because it may hurt the eyes? I put the sunscreen on the face many times and never have a problem. However, the sunscreen doesn't seem to help much on the brushing sensation on my face.

Hi Megan,

I have bought everything that we had discussed and as your protocol suggests. I fog and launder and clean. I can not get them to stop coming out of me. I'm still the problem. I shower dry off(with dryer) put a layer of cats claw on my skin(dry) then put the sunscreen from the calves down and then powder. I was my face dry it off and then put cotzs all over my head and face. With in hours I can feel them coming to surface and moving all over my head and moving around my feet. I can feel them in my socks. I take the HCL and and cats claw in pill form. What would you suggest? I need to blast them out of my skin. I AM STILL the PROBLEM. I have given them to my dog and cat. Do you have any thoughts the q based products from allstop?
I'm doing my best to be positive, but this makes you withdrawn and lonely, as I would not want to pass this along to no one. I did try acupuncture. It has helped in allowing me to sleep better at night.

This is NCS (Neuro-cutaneous syndrome), it is due to an excess of bio-incompatible toxins in your system, causing your body to attract opportunistic fungi (fibers) AND springtails.. Which explains why you are not giving the bugs to anyone else. The only way to resolve this is permanently, is to identify the toxin, and remove it from your system.
More often than not.. It is due to dental materials (resin composite)
Get a biocompatibilit y blood test. And get on a homeopathic detoxification regimen.
That's it. You will get better. Scout's honor. Don't waste your money here.

Scott,
I have the same problem. I feel that they are definitely IN my scalp, and possibly IN my skin as well. I now have a system that works, for me, for controlling the environment, but still can't get them to stop multiplying from within me. I also, am the problem. Maybe we should talk? my e-mail: arrugula2@yahoo .co.uk

I got a home portable far infrared sauna. It is the kind I get into completely, so my head is inside, too. It has helped me, maybe by cooking the mites and fungus in my skin. I am almost completely over this plague. I am also doing everything Megan recommends.

I the chicken mite in my scalp still. Was in my eyelashes and eyebrows. I hired an intuitive who told me that adding a couple drops of lavendar oil to a tsp of jojoba oil rubbed on eyebrows, eyelashes, face would help. I have kept brows, lashes and face slathered in this oil for 2 weeks and i really don't see them there any longer. I am still doing it until I get them out of my scalp. Will be trying MMS soak for the scalp, and sulfur shampoo. Also making Liquid Lye Lotion (blending 1/4 bar of lye soap with some warm water and then adding that to make a gallon of liquid. Pouring on dry scalp and hair and leaving overnight has been suggested to me by someone who tried a ton of things and found this finally worked. Again, we are talking about bird mites here, but maybe it will help you, if needed.

Hi Janice,

Can you provide the brand of portable infrared sauna you bought and its source?

0 #18 Janice 2012-03-20 05:40
Hung, I bought the cheapest far infrared sauna I could find on Amazon that I could get into all the way. I had one that my head stuck out of, but the mites moved to a ring around my neck. It isn't the best, and doesn't heat evenly, and I hesitate to post its brand name. I think far infrared does the best of any sauna, and a home unit avoids the risk of leaving behind mites or fungus to infect someone else. I spray it down with alcohol after each use.

Hi Janice, I am somewhat confused. First you said you have a portable one that can cover your head and then you said you have one that allows your head to stick out. Do you have two portables or are you talking about the same one? Thanks!

Sorry for the confusion. I wish I could go back and edit my post.

I have had two units.

The first one I sat in on a chair with my head sticking out. It worked if the chair was removed and I sat on the floor. Its cover needed to be removed and PCO-ed each time.

The second one has a dome, and I fit in it completely.

Hi Janice, Thanks for your reply. Which one is more effective: Dome model or the sitting model?

Can you also clairfy "Its cover needed to be removed and PCO-ed each time"? What cover? What is PCO?

-1 #22 Janice 2012-03-22 05:02
PCO is the laundry treatment from CedarCide, and you really need this or Clorox for all your laundry. The sit-in sauna has a cover with a zipper. Both models are just as good, but I found I needed to not have my head sticking out of either. Amazon has photos of them.

Hi Janice, Thanks for your reply. Can you email me at to share our experiences? Would FIR hurt the eyes if the head is totally inside the portable unit?

I have them in my eyes, eyelashes, brows and ears and scalp, as well as pubic hair and feet. They are probably everywhere else as well but those places are worst. Has anyone got any brilliant ideas? Cotz sunscreen did nothing. Vaseline helps a bit but it pretty gross and not nice in the eye. :sigh:

PS.I would really like to communicate by email with anyone in the UK who is struggling with mites, I feel so isolated, hardly dare see anyone...

Bee, I agree Cotz does nothing. For temporary relief, use peppermint oil topically. Oregano oil also works, but it is very strong on the skin and so be careful.

I have been zapping for months (many hours each day) and my condition has improved tremendously. I use several zappers and use them creatively (e.g. putting the electrodes on different parts of the body and using the zappers simultaneouly). Buy this one first: zap.intergate.ca/.

I don't live in the UK, but we can communicate about defeating the mites.

Cotz costs SO MUCH! I wish I'd known it didn't work.
I use a zapper already, though not the one Hung suggested, and am finding the most helpful thing on my skin at the moment is Cedarcide Best Yet! It doesn't hurt my eyes and I get slightly less activity there now, been using it 10 days, so still not success, but a help.

Bee, Which zapper do you have? Zappers aren't made equal and some are far more effective than others. For the head: If your zapper uses handholds, put at least one handhold on (i) the right or left of the back of your head or (ii) somewhere on the top of your head. Spray you hair first before putting the handhold there. This method should slowly get rid of the mites in your head (e.g. eyes, scalp).
